Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Award-winning science fiction writer Gareth L. Powell delivers his first collection in nearly a decade. Gathering together twenty stories, including four that are previously unpublished as well as some of the author’s best-loved tales, the content provides highlights from across twelve years of his career, delivering a powerful collection that is both entertaining and thought-provoking."Powell is an author to watch. His work is the spyglass of science fiction, the ship just over the horizon." – The Fix"Powell is showing his prowess, and fast becoming a master storyteller." – The Wry Writer"Gareth L. Powell manages, via a powerful torrent of invention, to imbue a myriad of ideas more in tune with a novel than a short story… "The Last Reef" is a fabulous read indeed." – Horrorscope"Powell primes an explosive narrative with brilliant cliffhangers and brings the lot to a satisfying conclusion." – The Guardian, of Ack-Ack Macaque"Red Lights, and Rain – This story you guys, this story was just plain, unadulterated fun. It’s Buffy meets Dexter set in Amsterdam. Enhanced super soldier from the future, a time travelling bounty hunter, and an ending that leaves you considering whether you misread the entire story the first time." – A Fantastical Librarian
