Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

This book is a gem of a gift to those who desire more intimate fellowship with God... Scripture Comes to Life beckons the reader to pull up a chair and join Jesus and the author in the journey of a lifetime. The Rev. Jan de Chambrier, author, minister, missionaryIs biblical wisdom still relevant to everyday life in our post-modern, relativistic world of the 21st century? Since being introduced to Jesus Christ and the Bible in her twenties, Ruth Stitt has been both a passionate follower of Christ and zealous student of Scripture. Her answer in this book is a resounding yes, with dozens of examples of how Scripture is still alive and speaking to those who will listen.Throughout her life journey, the author has raised a family, performed as a jazz musician, counseled for 30 years as a licensed therapist, was ordained to ministry, served as a professor of psychology and a counselor educator, and led worship at countless services and events. After completing her Master of Divinity in 2017, Ruth's varied life experiences and intensive study converged to inspire a blog called Scripture Comes to Life, which she has published weekly since. This book is a compilation of the richest of her insights from a lifetime of reflection on how Scripture can be applied in every aspect of life, and how every experience in life can point us back to Scripture. We need only to stand at the intersection and look for clues. For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.Hebrews 4:12
