Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Bree Bailey's debut poetry collection, 'Wailing on Whisper Street', deftly navigates themes such as sexism, coming-of-age in poverty, working-class struggles, and the enduring impact of grief. The collection also addresses mental health issues and raises awareness by breaking the silence imposed by societal norms. The verses are rooted in the determined life of a Latina mother and fearlessly confront pervasive issues of sexism and femininity. They also explore ideas of grief and loss, inspiring courage and resilience in the face of adversity. Additionally, the collection pays homage to the strength of the author's survival as a young bisexual mom in the modern world.
