Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

They survived the Great Depression, helped win two world wars, livedthrough the birth of the space age, and witnessed the introduction ofthe internet. The real- life characters eulogized in this book were special notbecause they held prodigious political power or amassed large amounts ofwealth but precisely because they were ordinary. They walked among us largelyunknown but helped shaped and define the American character through the20th Century. Most were part of what has been called "the greatest generation"because America reached its greatest zenith during their tenure. Their eulogies, first delivered at their funerals, offer snippets from their lives which reveal theircharacter, contributions, personalities, and spiritual strength. These bits andpieces of their lives are recorded herein that these ordinary but exceptionalpeople will not be forgotten and that those who walk in their footprints orstand on their shoulders will be better able to maintain communion with them. Also contained herein are the Meditations of comfort and hope which the livesof those profiled cause us to remember.
