Wilde, Yeats, and Doyle were Machen's fans. He is also included in the best Anglo-Welsh literature studies. Paul-Jean Toulet visited Machen in London and translated "The Great God Pan" into French. Charles Williams, a Machen enthusiast, received inspiration for his novels.
