Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Reading the Old Testament for the first time can feel like trying to talk with an immigrant from a foreign country who doesn't speak our common language: confusing, frustrating, and perhaps even offensive. The reason we have this experience as English-speakers is because our Western culture is totally foreign to the ancient setting where the Bible originated. To understand this text, we must learn to see the world of the Bible's authors from their unique perspective. In this second volume of The Bold Testament 3-part series, you will get to know the foreign land, language, literature, and legacy of the Hebrew Bible. The author is a Christian with a BA degree in Biblical Studies and 16 years of experience as both a writer and a Bible teacher. Keeping an open mind, he invites people of all backgrounds and faiths on a journey through this world-transforming text.
