By examining what we collectively value-our families, beliefs, aspirations, and sense of identity-it highlights how these elements guide us toward building a better, more resilient future.I was born on May 15, 1991, in The Gambia-the smiling coast of West Africa-to Gambian-Senegalese parents. Later, my older sister and I moved to U.S in Anchorage, Alaska, where we reunited with our parents. I come from a traditional African family on both sides, deeply rooted in our Muslim faith, cultural values, and customs. I am the third of nine siblings, though sadly, we lost two of my brothers along the way. I graduated from Bartlett High School in Anchorage in May 2010, and went on to pursue higher education. I later earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University in 2022.
