Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Minor Prophets are some of the Bible's most overlooked books. But how do you teach them to your kids?Tucked at the end of the Old Testament, the final six Minor Prophets are the books most families never get to. The names alone can feel intimidating: Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi. They're short, they're ancient, and they're packed with visions, oracles, and warnings that can seem impossibly distant from modern life. But these six small books turn out to be the bridge between the Old Testament and the New. They contain some of the most direct prophecies about Jesus anywhere in Scripture: a king riding on a donkey, a shepherd betrayed for thirty pieces of silver, a pierced savior mourned by his own people, and a sunrise bringing healing to the world. Skip them, and you'll miss the setup for everything the Gospels are about to deliver. What Are the Books of Nahum-Malachi? makes these overlooked prophets come alive for today's young readers. Written in a warm, conversational style that doesn't water down the theology or talk down to kids, this guide walks through all six books with:Engaging illustrations from pop culture and classic literature-from The Maze Runner to A Tale of Two Citiesto Alice's Adventures in Wonderland-that connect biblical themes to stories kids already know and loveHonest engagement with difficult content-handling divine judgment, prophetic visions, and hard questions about God's justice in age-appropriate ways that spark real conversationsReal-life application-helping kids see how these ancient prophets speak to their own experiences of waiting, disappointment, cynicism, and the quiet courage it takes to keep trusting God when nothing seems to changeWhether your child is wondering why God allows injustice, struggling with going through the motions in their faith, or ready to discover how the Old Testament points to Jesus on nearly every page, What Are the Books of Nahum-Malachi? will show them that the last voices of the Old Testament are not a whisper trailing off into silence-they're a drumroll before the greatest story ever told.Perfect for family reading, church classes, or independent study.
