Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The letters of 1, 2, and 3 John are some of the most powerful pages in the New Testament. But how do you teach them to your kids?Tucked near the end of the Bible, these three short letters are easy to overlook. Most people know a few famous lines: "God is love." "Perfect love drives out fear." But the letters themselves were forged in a crisis. False teachers had infiltrated the church, twisting the truth about Jesus, and an aging apostle picked up his pen to fight back. What came out was something extraordinary: deeply personal, fiercely honest letters about what it means to really know God, really love people, and really tell the difference between what's true and what's fake. What Are the Books of 1-3 John? makes these vital letters accessible for today's young readers. Written in a warm, conversational style that takes big theology seriously without talking down to kids, this guide walks through all three letters with:Engaging illustrations from pop culture and classic literature-from The Polar Express to Oliver Twist to Don Quixote, that connect biblical themes to stories kids already know and loveClear explanations of tough concepts-like atonement, the incarnation, and the antichrist, making first-century debates feel immediate and relevantReal-life application-helping kids see how John's tests of faith, love, and obedience speak to their own questions about identity, authenticity, and what it means to follow JesusWhether your child is wondering how to spot the difference between truth and error, learning what real love actually costs, or ready to discover why an old apostle's urgent letters still matter today, What Are the Books of 1-3 John? will show them that the God who is light and love is still calling his children to walk in both.Perfect for family reading, church classes, or independent study.
