Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

"Your silence will not protect you." Audre Lorde

The Authors in volume four of Women Like Me - Breaking Through The Silence are powerful women. They know the damage that keeping secrets and not speaking up for yourself can do overtime. Every time a woman keeps silent, it teaches the next generation of women that we still need to stay silent, to remain quiet.

It's not healthy to keep secrets, even small ones. There can be a lot of anxiety and stress, which can lead to depression. You hold it in your mind and body. It's always in the back of your mind. When you release it through your voice or writing, you can let go and not be held down by it.

Within this edition of Women Like Me (volume four), you are going to discover eleven women who decided not to hide anymore, to speak up for themselves, and to speak up for their loved ones.

These are courageous women. They are Women Like Me and women like you, and they will no longer be silent.
