Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The year is 2025.A young researcher, Basil Archimedes, discovers a modified micro-organism gradually invading the building for microbiological research and its laboratories where he works. The microbe appears not to be toxic either to plants or to human. No one understands how it works....Basil, a very imaginative individual who works on the theory of communication between living species, puts forward various hypotheses and, to test them, asks for help from Jacinthe Le Tan, a stunning colleague he would dearly love to seduce.Against a background of transgenic viruses and laboratory in-fighting, the action unfolds around this intrigue of the heart and of science. In this novel of scientific premonitions, Isabelle Jarry returns to her training as a biologist. She questions science today and in the future, using a facetious writing style and exuberant language.A doctor of plant pathology, Isabelle Jarry is the author of a variety of works: short narratives, biographies and novels, such as L'Archange perdu, J'ai nom sans bruit and La Traversée du désert (2008). Contre mes seuls ennemis is her eighth novel.
