Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

"Secular reading: not "rationalist", which reduces everything to reason, but rational, respectful of reason and leaving room for the irrational, which I also call points of inspiration; in other words, a reading that does not erase love in favour of reason alone. And which frees this great text from religious control and reveals it to be accessible and meaningful to anyone who reflects on the human condition. Accessible and universal, even through its unique challenges, such as founding a people and maintaining it through laws that ultimately replace the divine. The Torah, conceived as a symbolic transmission, beyond the fact of carrying a people, has meaning for many others, outside the religions that derive from it.Talking about the divine in a secular reading? Why not, if the divine is what brings all the points of inspiration together? This book also offers a rational approach to the infinite. It also sheds light on the structure of the text: what does 'God spoke to Moses' mean? And Abraham's sacrifice? And miracles? And the idea of the Promised Land, which causes so much conflict? This book provides a conceptual framework where believers and atheists can coexist without insult or contempt. D. S.
