Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Celtic crosses are iconic symbols found throughout Ireland, blending Christian and pagan traditions. Typically carved from stone, they feature a ring surrounding the intersection, symbolizing unity or eternity. Dating back to the early Middle Ages, many were erected at monastic sites as grave markers or teaching tools, often adorned with intricate knotwork and biblical scenes. Notable examples include the High Crosses of Clonmacnoise and Monasterboice. Today, they remain powerful emblems of Irish heritage and faith.
