This book addresses three scheduling problems with multi-attribute setup times. All of these scheduling problems are originated from the manufacturing plants of a company producing PVC products. The author develops the different kinds of heuristics and meta-heuristic to solve the scheduling problems with multi-attribute setup times. All the experimental results show that the proposed heuristics can outperform the current scheduling method used by the case plants with a significant improvement. This indicates that the proposed scheduling methods in this book are valuable in practical applications.
