The first episode of the series "When Languages Meet the First Time" (语言第一次见面) was met with enthusiasm, reaching 200,000 views within a week. The series humorously unfolds linguistic aspects of German, English, French, Chinese, and Spanish.

A year later, Sarah Vogt compiled the episodes into a short book to make the series accessible to more people interested in the Chinese language and linguistics. The book is written in English in order to make the content accessible to people from different cultural backgrounds.
