Speech research is a very dynamic field of science, and there is no doubt that its results have practical applications like speech pathology, speech technology, education etc. For understanding the recent questions we have to know how we got here. This volume contains the papers of the Sixth International Workshop on the History of Speech Communication Research (HSCR 2024).
