HSCR (History of Speech Communication Research) functions as an interdisciplinary platform where researchers explore all aspects of the history of speech and communication studies. The 7th edition in Paris highlighted the importance of geographical and disciplinary exchanges, emphasizing collaboration both within the speech communication field and with other disciplines. Historically, the field’s progress has been fueled by intensive scholarly exchanges involving international collaborations, societies, congresses, and journals.
