The book examines the pattern of the Tiv transformational generative syntax with a clear focus on deletion and adjunction. Addition of new unit(s) on existing ones and deletion of existing unit (s) in a particular structure through transformation are mathematically represented by plus (+) minus (-) operational pattern.
