The present work is entitled "Perception of the population on the appeal in cassation in Congolese law: case of the city of Bunia".The exegetical method, supported by documentary techniques, questionnaires and direct observation, made it possible to carry out this work. The results showed that 58.33 per cent of the population of the city had poor knowledge of the procedure under review, 29.16 per cent had average knowledge and 12.50 per cent had good knowledge of the procedure.Nevertheless, it is important for the Congolese legislator, beyond any normative action, to define a model for the popularization of laws and the promotion of justice in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
