This book introduces the reader to prototyping, i.e. the manufacture of prototypes, more specifically prototyping by material removal. A prototype can be considered a virtual or physical study object used in the recursive design process, the aim of which is to provide feedback on a qualitative or quantitative characteristic that you want to evaluate before making a decision on the final product. The use of prototypes is increasingly present in the daily lives of companies developing some kind of product, due to the wide range of options for materials, tools and machines.
