This book traces the military history of the Turkic peoples from 751 to 1453 through ten decisive battles that reshaped Eurasian civilization. Beginning with the Battle of Talas, where Arab and Chinese empires collided over Central Asia, and moving through Dandanaqan, Manzikert, the Ghaznavid campaigns into India, Sindh, Ain Jalut, Tarak, Ankara, and the conquest of Constantinople, it shows how nomadic military traditions repeatedly overcame larger settled empires.
