Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Eli's school bag is light, but his heart feels heavy. At Talisayan Elementary School, Eli worries that he may not be smart enough. The school feels big, learning is not always easy, and sometimes he wants to give up. But Teacher Rosa offers him something simple and powerful: patience, encouragement, and the reminder that they can learn together-one little step at a time.At home, Mama shares the same quiet encouragement. So Eli keeps trying. He reads. He writes. He counts. Little by little, learning becomes easier, his confidence begins to grow, and he discovers that mistakes do not have to stop him.Years later, Eli carries those lessons with him as he follows his dream of becoming a teacher. And when he notices a nervous child standing quietly on his own first day of school, Eli has the chance to pass forward the same kindness that once helped him believe in himself.Eli's Little Light is a warm story about encouragement, perseverance, confidence, learning from mistakes, and the lasting difference one caring adult can make in a child's life.Part of The Little Lights Collection, this story invites children and families to reflect on the small steps that help us grow-and the kindness that can help another little light shine.
