The Other Face of the CrossThe Forbidden Testament of Death on Calvary by BarnabasThe Other Face of the Cross unveils a forbidden gospel that history tried, in vain, to keep buried. Based on the Apocryphal Testament known as the Gospel of Barnabas, this hidden gospel confronts one of the most controversial mysteries of early Christianity: the suggestion that it was Judas, and not Jesus, who was crucified. For centuries, this apocryphal Barnabas text was silenced, hidden among secret manuscripts, feared for the way it challenges the foundation of Christian faith. In this daring exploration, Alan Bradley delves into the lost gospels, revealing Barnabas's forbidden witness of a divine exchange on the cross. This ancient testament of a Christ follower describes how Judas Iscariot, betrayer and symbol of guilt, may have been sacrificed in place of Jesus, spared from the crucifixion. Locked away and suppressed for ages by those who sensed its disruptive power, the Gospel of Barnabas offers an alternative gospel that questions the divinity of Christ. As part of the biblical apocrypha, this apocryphal crucifixion account stirs up Christian controversies and reveals the shadowy side of apostle narratives often left out of mainstream accounts.A journey into ancient revelations and New Testament secrets, The Other Face of the Cross connects readers with the historical documents of early Christianity, unearthing hidden teachings and faith mysteries from an era when beliefs were fiercely contested. With ties to gnostic texts and other historical Christian texts, Bradley's account invites the reader into a landscape of forbidden writings and spiritual teachings, where divine prophecy, spiritual formation, and historical gospels converge. Here, between myth and lost truth, the echoes of a religious mystery call, daring readers to question the early church and the alternative gospel it sought to conceal.
