Organic farming, despite its potential to reconcile farmers with nature and produce healthy food, has struggled to take root. This study aims to identify the factors explaining the resistance of farmers in Logokpé to organic farming and to examine farmers' priorities in agricultural practices. To achieve these objectives, the study employed both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that the difficulty in implementing organic farming stems from the rapid productivity and socioeconomic profitability derived from modern agriculture, the labor shortage in the village of Logokpé, and the mismatch between incentives to adopt organic farming and the resources made available by the government.
