"The Control System for a Glue-Dotting Machine" is a project that was carried out at "Electronic Tunisie System," a company that assembles electronic circuit boards. The goal of this project is to design and build a control system for the glue-dot dispensing machine, as its current system is defective. This machine is a Cartesian robot in which each axis consists of a worm gear driven by a DC motor. The system consists of two main components: a circuit board and a user interface. The electronic circuit board is designed to control the DC motors via an H-bridge and an 18F2431 microcontroller programmed in C. The user interface, meanwhile, is used to monitor the machine by offering several control modes.
