Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

This institutional study of Peltier General Hospital was carried out to help the hospital's Director-General manage the institution more effectively. This study is the first of its kind in the Republic of Djibouti. All hospital staff - medical, paramedical and others - agreed to contribute to this study. I was the study's designer and coordinator. There was a genuine desire amongst everyone for change within the hospital. It was high time that this hospital, designed during the colonial era, should become a modern hospital, particularly as it is the country's leading referral hospital. The study was conducted professionally and everyone was satisfied with the results. The hospital was entering a phase of autonomy, and this study will enable it to implement this more effectively. Furthermore, with the establishment of the new medical school, this hospital will be transformed into a university teaching hospital. Thus, this research will provide it with the means to strengthen its technical and institutional capacity. Finally, this study is aimed at improving the quality of patient care and ensuring patients receive better treatment.
