This document is a research report intended for any sector interested in groups of people living in difficult conditions around the world, particularly in Haiti. It explores the psychology of children in domestic service. The author focuses on how children in domestic service form their perception of their foster homes. The study takes into account the various factors that shape the core of its subject matter. We hope this research draws attention to all people who are exploited around the world, especially these children in domestic service who perform tasks beyond their strength. They are victims of verbal abuse, beatings, humiliation, and ingratitude. In Haiti, following the earthquake of January 12, 2010, the situation of these children has become much more alarming. This study was conducted in 2011. Its aim is to help uncover the hidden side of the current world order. In preparation for this 2015 publication, the author has made almost no changes to the original text and has not updated the figures. While these figures have certainly changed four years later, they have almost always worsened.
