Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

This volume brings together the best social and political poetry of one of the most important poets of contemporary Spanish poetry: Manuel Ruiz-Amezcua. In this anthology, the author portrays with his unique voice human suffering, the memory of the marginalized, and the tireless struggle for dignity. From the intimate pain of the loss of his mother to the collective outcry for the victims of history--from Auschwitz to Gaza--each poem is a cry of resistance and a search for truth in a world marked by lies and betrayal. With a voice that oscillates between tenderness and rage, between elegy and denunciation, El rostro de los vencidos dialogues with greats such as Lorca, Machado, and Hernández, while confronting the wounds of deep Spain and universal horrors. This work sings to the defeated and redeems them, inviting the reader to look darkness in the face and find refuge for hope in poetry. Perfect for lovers of committed poetry, this book is a powerful testimony to the power of words to challenge silence and transform pain into a song that moves and transforms.
