Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

What could a 21st-century house hide beneath its foundations? What discovery could be so important... that it had to be erased from history? During renovations to her home in historic Toledo, Karla Nogales discovers a sealed passageway under her garage. At the end of the tunnel, a forgotten crypt and an unmarked coffin. What seemed like a simple architectural curiosity awakens a greater concern: that tomb, without symbols or inscriptions, could hold the remains of someone as famous as they are silenced. With the help of her father, an expert in renovating old buildings, and a university professor, Karla delves into the archives and secrets of Toledo's underground. Among passageways, erased plans, and contradictory testimonies, a clue emerges that changes everything: the disappeared church of San Torcuato... and the name of Doménikos Theotokópoulos, El Greco. It is built for a single deceased person, unadorned, austere in all its elements... and yet it gives the impression that it was intended to pay homage to those who rest within. Why was that temple destroyed? Who really lies beneath Karla's house? And why are there still those who want to bury the truth? El Greco's Tomb is a historical thriller set in the heart of Toledo, where every brick hides a secret... or the forgotten trace of a genius who still disturbs the living.
