ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

César Mallorquí, Spain's most acclaimed young adult author, returns with a dark, gripping, and utterly addictive thriller.

The walls of this boarding school hide secrets best left alone.

Juan is 17, and one day--without anyone knowing why--he brutally beats up a boy older than him, sending him to the hospital. Faced with the alternative of juvenile detention, his father ships him off to Barrenton College, an expensive, elite boarding school in Scotland. Juan expects his classmates to be spoiled, entitled rich kids--and he's not wrong. But he also finds four true friends: Archy, Luc, Beppe, and Pancho. And an unexpected surprise: Aura Ferreyra, a student at Halloway Girls' Academy, just beyond Barrenton's walls--a rebellious young woman who captures his attention... and something more.

But after the mysterious death of a teacher, Juan begins to suspect that something dark is unfolding within the school--and decides to investigate on his own.>
