ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Penguin Classics brings us this beautiful commemorative edition for the sesquicentennial of the original publication of this great classic.

Translations by Luis Maristany, Laura Rins Calahorra, and Agustín Gervás.

Alice in Wonderland crosses the threshold that separates reality from dreams and enters a territory without laws or rules where everything is possible. A triumph of imagination and ingenuity, this narrative recreates a world of unusual settings and creatures, challenging each and every logical postulate of the conventional world.

This volume presents, alongside the masterful translation by Luis Maristany and the classic illustrations by John Tenniel, a new edition of Alice's Underground Adventures, the seminal work that Reverend Dodgson - Lewis Carroll was his pseudonym - wrote and illustrated by hand for Alice Liddell in 1864. The tome closes with Alice for the Little Ones, the children's adaptation that the author himself made of his own work in 1890.
