Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Book of Isaiah is a significant text in the Old Testament, attributed to the prophet Isaiah, who lived during the 8th century BCE. This prophetic book is divided into several sections that address the moral, spiritual, and political issues of Israel and Judah. It begins with Isaiah's vision of God and his prophetic calling, setting the stage for a series of oracles and messages aimed at both the people of Israel and surrounding nations.Isaiah's prophecies address the impending judgment upon Israel for their idolatry and disobedience to God. He warns of the coming destruction from foreign powers, particularly Assyria and Babylon, while also offering messages of hope and restoration. The themes of repentance, divine judgment, and mercy are interwoven throughout the text. Notably, Isaiah speaks of a future messianic figure, often interpreted as a prophecy about Jesus Christ, emphasizing themes of salvation, peace, and justice.
