Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

"The Son of Tarzan" by Edgar Rice Burroughs follows the adventures of Jack Clayton, the son of Tarzan, as he embarks on a journey that mirrors his father's legendary exploits. The story begins with the escape of Alexis Paulvitch, a former adversary of Tarzan, who is now a broken man living in Africa. Paulvitch encounters Akut, a great ape, and brings him to London, where the ape becomes a music hall attraction. Jack, fascinated by tales of the jungle and the ape, defies his mother's wishes and visits Akut. The boy forms a bond with the ape, reminiscent of his father's connection with the jungle creatures. When Paulvitch attempts to use Jack in a scheme of revenge against Tarzan, Akut intervenes, saving the boy and killing Paulvitch. Jack, with Akut's help, escapes and begins a journey to Africa, driven by an innate call to the wild. Disguised as an invalid grandmother, Jack boards a ship with Akut, heading towards the African coast. The narrative explores themes of identity, heritage, and the irresistible pull of one's origins, as Jack grapples with his dual nature-civilized upbringing and primal instincts inherited from Tarzan. The story is a thrilling continuation of the Tarzan saga, blending adventure with the exploration of familial bonds and the legacy of the jungle.
