Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The true story of a Belgian Shepherd Tervueren's coming of age.For three years we follow Mishka - the "enchanted puppy" that has the talent to turn every dog into a friend, and who grows up to become a fearless alpha male looking to set his position in dog society.Through drama, but also with humor, we get to experience Mishka's battles, friendships, his hunts and his first love.In a fascinating study of dog behavior, this book depicts the full evolution of a young dog - from the heart-wrenching separation from his family at 8 weeks old, his search for a new "pack" and learning to bond with humans, to his many gained and a few lost friendships as he grows up to be an impressive Berber lion of a dog.A book for all dog-lovers, that will make you appreciate the individuality of each dog's unique soul and personality. It is also a small contribution to the field of ethology - a one-case study of animal behavior.Featuring 48 original color illustrations in watercolor style by the author, depicting many of the scenes described in the book, plus several photographs.
