'Quien haga la sopa que se la coma' (He who makes the soup should eat it) is a manifesto by Auguste Blanqui, a classic of revolutionary socialism, commented on by Marx and Engels. Blanqui argues that wealth is born of intelligence and work, but that land and capital, fundamental to its creation, have been illegitimately appropriated by a minority. This has led to the exploitation of the working majority, who are deprived of the fruits of their labor for the benefit of the idle. Blanqui compares this situation to slavery, stating that, although the form has changed, the essence of servitude persists in the worker's dependence on the owner of the means of production. The author rejects the idea of supposed solidarity between capitalists and workers, considering it a fallacy that hides the 'fight to the death' between the capitalist's income and the wage. For Blanqui, the solution lies in the abolition of property rights and the implementation of association as the basis for a just and egalitarian society, where the instruments of labor belong to those who use them.
