Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Four politicians. One election. Absolutely no consequences.Bromley, Belgrade, Airs and Laraby are wealthy, well-connected, and almost entirely detached from reality. Fortunately for them, they're running for Parliament.Opposing them is a suspiciously familiar group of Frenchmen with an equally questionable plan for England. But before the election can get too serious, the four gentlemen are distracted by something far more important: an international treasure hunt for Laraby's long-lost inheritance. What follows is a journey across the Mediterranean involving desert islands, pirates, cannibals, misplaced identities and a rather unfortunate encounter with Nigel st Vincent - a forgotten figure from their past whose own life seems to have become an endless adventure. Then there's Stripey Martin: an anthropomorphic tiger, Nigel's oldest friend, and the man-or tiger-determined to bring Belgrade to justice. With an election to win, a treasure to find, and absolutely no understanding of the consequences of their actions, the gentlemen of the Picnic Party stumble from one catastrophe to another, somehow emerging victorious every time.
