Drawing on the dialogue among neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, and complex systems theory, the essay examines how memory, emotion, attachment, prediction, physiological regulation, reward, and self-construction contribute to the formation of internal representations of relationships.The central hypothesis is that a meaningful bond does not constitute merely an interpersonal experience, but may progressively become part of the predictive models and internal structures through which an individual interprets the self, others, and the surrounding environment. From this perspective, the concept of emotional entanglement is introduced as a theoretical construct to describe the persistence and transformation of the reciprocal influence generated by a meaningful bond, even under conditions of distance, absence, or the termination of the relationship.Alongside this concept, the notion of emotional entropy is proposed as an interpretive framework for understanding the variability, uncertainty, and unpredictability inherent in relational experience. Emotional entropy is considered here neither as a diagnosis nor as a clinical category, but rather as a conceptual model through which to examine the relationship between the brain's need for prediction and the inevitable uncertainty inherent in relational systems.The essay therefore explores one of the fundamental tensions of human experience: the brain tends to construct models, predictions, and continuity, while relationships continuously introduce variables capable of modifying them. From this perspective, presence, absence, distance, ambivalence, belonging, conflict, and loss are considered not merely as relational conditions, but as events capable of generating updates within an individual's cognitive, emotional, and bodily systems.The aim of the essay is to contribute to an integrated understanding of human bonds by examining the boundaries between memory and presence, order and chaos, prediction and uncertainty, the individual and the relationship.The concluding question is not merely why certain bonds persist over time, but rather a deeper one: if a relationship can modify the models through which the brain interprets reality, how much of a bond remains within us even after that bond, in external reality, has ended?
