Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Every dog has an explanation. Junior has sixty-two.A missing glove. A procession that has stopped moving. A perfectly respectable painting that is now considerably wetter.Junior, a black Labrador and self-appointed Keeper of Explanations and Unclaimed Objects, would like to clarify a few things. In The Dog Was Only Helping, famous works of art are reimagined with dogs in charge. Portrait sitters develop opinions, grand occasions acquire uninvited assistance, and important objects are carried somewhere more useful. Each incident receives a report, an explanation and a finding unusually generous to dogs. This full-colour illustrated humour collection pairs canine reworkings of familiar art with dry observations about the logic every dog owner recognises. Longer cases give way to brief encounters, making it easy to open anywhere and follow whichever dog has attracted your attention.A gift for dog lovers, art enthusiasts and anyone who has ever been offered a very large stick indoors. The evidence is assembled. Junior considers the matter settled.
