Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Fifty-two weeks of encouragement from someone with no business encouraging anyone.

Week 24: Today I will accept that someone moved my tools and I will never know who or why.

Every trade knows the feeling. The plans are wrong. The part is on a truck somewhere else. Somebody has already explained how they would have done it differently.

What that person needs is not advice. It's one short sentence a week, in big type, that says "yes, this is how it is, and you showed up anyway."

Weekly Affirmations for Handymen Who Are Trying Their Best is fifty-two of them - one for every week of the year, illustrated, and set in type large enough to read in the truck at 6:30 in the morning.

There is no repair advice in this book. There is no code reference. There is nothing in here that will pass an inspection.

It does not stay sarcastic all the way to the end.

Weekly Affirmations is a series for the trades. Other trades have their own editions, their own authors, and their own opinions about the last guy.

A gift for the one who fixes everything at your house and will not take money for it, the apprentice who is about to quit, the spouse who owns one specific screwdriver that must never leave the drawer, and anyone who has ever heard the words "while you're here."

Bill Daley has been a handyman for longer than he intends to tell you about.
