Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Born into crushing poverty and forced to labor in Scotland's factories as a child, Mary Slessor appeared destined for a life of obscurity and hardship. But God had prepared this fiery, red-haired mill worker for a mission that would demand extraordinary faith. Leaving behind everything familiar, she sailed for West Africa and entered the dangerous villages of Calabar-regions marked by tribal warfare, deadly superstition, disease, and customs that condemned innocent children to death. Armed with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a courage stronger than fear, Mary walked where others would not go, faced angry warriors, confronted powerful chiefs, and stood between enemies determined to shed blood.

**MARY SLESSOR: THE WOMAN WHO FEARED NOTHING BUT GOD** tells the breathtaking true story of a woman who rescued abandoned twins, protected abused women, adopted orphaned children, settled violent disputes, preached Christ in unreached communities, and became known as the beloved "Mother of Calabar." Through sickness, loneliness, danger, and relentless opposition, she refused to retreat from the call of God. Her life remains a blazing testimony that one surrendered believer-possessing no wealth, influence, or worldly power-can challenge darkness, transform communities, and leave behind a legacy that continues to inspire the world.
