Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

She came to take her husband home. The mountain had already made him a mother. Two winters after the raid, the Queen of Maren has stopped believing the stories. Corvyn is not dead. Her son is not dead. They are on a rock somewhere, ruined and hidden, and she has packed a cloak to cover them with and a general to carry them down. She has also packed a few hundred men, a bar of iron, a sack of salt, and a treaty cut in half so that a people who tell the weather where to stand can hold it in their teeth. The Skarath send two. Twins. Eight feet tall, and not kind about it.On the mountain, the hold is warm for the first time in seventeen years. Four mothers who were once four men run a yard, a stores line, and a chest that stays barred. Sennyth is carrying again, on a knee that has opinions. Corvanna, who was a king, has a boy with her husband's mouth and a law nobody has tested yet: no Bringing-In behind a door. Then the sky goes wrong on the east side, and Dresk reads it, and Vantor says the thing he has never had to say twice.Hold.What follows is not a rescue. It is a pass that eats, a gate that holds, a vote in open dirt, and a bronze cup passed down a line of men who came to burn the house down. Twelve of them will drink. So will the giants. And the queen who walked up the wrong side of the mountain will stand in a yard and watch the word she never understood do its work on the people she brought to it.The Founding Blood is the fifth book in the Ilyrn's Breeding Harem series and the direct sequel to The Ritual. It is a story about a law written by the people who broke it, a goddess who does doors and not rescue, and the night four mothers became eighteen.Includes a full two-part appendix: the record of the second Bringing-In, and the complete founding account from The Ritual, corrected and carried forward.Reader warning: This is explicit adult dark fantasy. It contains graphic sex, non-consensual transformation of men into women, breeding, group scenes, coercion, and a war the losing side did not agree to. Nobody in it is rescued. 18+ only.
