Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

In a dystopian world where frequency governs everything from wealth and health to survival, a desperate woman discovers how to steal it from the privileged-only to become the most hunted fugitive in a society determined to keep its greatest secret buried.

THE FREQUENCY THIEFIn Mara Vey's world, frequency is everything. It determines how much you can eat, where you can live, whether you can receive medical treatment, and even how long you are allowed to remain alive. The wealthy possess enormous reserves of it, living in luxury behind protected walls, while millions of ordinary citizens struggle to maintain the minimum frequency required to survive.Mara is one of them. With her frequency dangerously low and her health deteriorating, Mara is running out of time. Then, by sheer luck, she accidentally discovers something the authorities have spent decades keeping secret: Frequency can be stolen.Soon, Mara is stealing from officials and the elite, secretly redistributing stolen frequency to people who are starving, sick, and dying. Each theft makes her stronger-and makes her more dangerous to the system. As time goes by, Mara discovers something even more disturbing: the shortage isn't simply a matter of inequality. The entire frequency economy is built on a lie. The system has been secretly harvesting frequency from the population and selling it back to them, turning humanity's own life force into the most valuable commodity on Earth. Now Mara faces a choice that could change civilization forever...

A Note from the Author- Writing The Frequency Thief was an experience I truly loved. From the moment Mara Vey came to life, I was fascinated by the question at the heart of her story: How far would an ordinary person go to survive when the world around her has become chaotic, unforgiving, and controlled by forces beyond her reach?Mara is not a hero because she is fearless. She is a hero because she is desperate to live. Faced with a world where something as essential as frequency has become a measure of wealth, health, status, and even survival, she discovers that sometimes the instinct to survive can awaken courage we never knew we possessed. The Frequency Thief is a story about survival, but it is also a story about freedom-and about what happens when someone finally decides that the system controlling her life has gone too far.I loved taking Mara from a frightened woman simply trying to survive to someone willing to risk everything for the truth. Her journey is filled with fear, danger, moral choices, and moments of discovery, but above all, it is a reminder that even in the darkest circumstances, the human desire to live-and to be free-can never be completely extinguished.I hope you enjoy reading Mara's story as much as I enjoyed bringing it to life.- G.
