Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

What if Boaz-the beloved husband of Ruth-was also Ibzan, one of Israel's forgotten judges? The Book of Judges gives Ibzan only three verses. He ruled Israel for seven years, had thirty sons and thirty daughters, and arranged sixty marriages beyond his own family. Jewish tradition preserves one extraordinary possibility: Ibzan was Boaz.

Now Ruth tells the story the Scriptures leave between the lines.

Years after a Moabite widow followed Naomi to Bethlehem and found redemption in the fields of Boaz, Ruth watches her husband become something neither of them expected-a judge of Israel. Yet Ibzan will not lead through armies or conquest. His calling is quieter, reaching into homes, marriages, old prejudices, and the boundaries Israel has drawn between us and them.

Thirty sons. Thirty daughters. Sixty marriages.

One family large enough to challenge a nation's understanding of who belongs.

Ruth knows what it means to be the outsider. She remembers the whispers, the suspicion, and the mercy that welcomed a foreign woman beneath the wings of Israel's God. As Ibzan opens his own household to strangers, Ruth begins to recognize the same truth that transformed her life.

Jehovah is Water. His mercy flows toward the thirsty, the rejected, and the forgotten-and no human boundary can contain Him.

Inspired by Judges 12:8-10, the Book of Ruth, and the ancient Jewish tradition identifying Ibzan with Boaz, Ibzan-God's Waters is a biblical historical fiction novel of faith, family, redemption, and radical hospitality. It imagines the untold years of Ruth and Boaz and the legacy that would flow through their son Obed, their grandson Jesse, and ultimately toward the promised Messiah. Some judges delivered Israel with a sword. Ibzan changed his people by opening his family.Dive into Ibzan-God's Waters, Volume Nine of the Judged in Love series, where the overlooked judges of Israel reveal another glimpse of the Father's love.
