Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Flatonia the Little Train Engine is a sweet beginner-reader story inspired by the railroad history of Flatonia, Texas. Flatonia is a cheerful little train who arrives as the town begins to grow beside the railroad tracks. She helps farmers carry cotton, grain, food, cattle, and passengers, and she watches Flatonia become a busy railroad town.As the years pass, the town changes. New roads and highways bring fewer travelers to the railroad, and Flatonia feels a little sad. But families and children continue to visit, learn about the old trains, and remember the town's history. Flatonia realizes that even though times change, her story will always be part of the community. The book ends with Flatonia feeling proud, loved, and happy to know that Flatonia will always be her home.
