Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

In 794 a ship put a stranger ashore on the western coast and went out again over the water before he had walked a mile inland. His name was Rius. He was a white mage, 38 years old, and 81 years later he would not look a day different. He owned one thing: a thick plain-bound book, stiff with salt, written in a hand nobody in the realm could read.He heals. He closes burns, draws fevers, and takes no coin for it - what he takes instead he has never managed to explain to anyone. Every life he saves goes into the book after dark, a hoard that cannot be spent or stolen. He does not know what he is, or where his kind come from. He has heard of one other, an ancient mage called Iraus somewhere beyond the strait, and he means to find him and ask.In the same year he came ashore, something above the world began to watch him. It has never stopped, and it has never once explained itself.Around him a continent spends 81 years coming apart: old kings dying in their beds and leaving no better ones; a war begun over nothing that runs 38 years; boys of eight crowned and stabbed before the year turns; a kingdom 696 years old ending in an afternoon. The loremasters write all of it down. They give Rius one line.
