Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

You changed the time you walk him, and then you changed the route.Somebody said something to you on a pavement once, and you have thought about it most days since. This is a nine month written programme for a dog who barks, lunges or screams at other dogs on the lead. Not a fortnight. Not a trick from a video. Nine months, month by month, with sheets to fill in and an honest account of the flat middle. What is in it. How to tell fear from frustration from over-arousal, which look identical on a pavement and need nearly opposite work. How to measure your dog's threshold distance without a tape measure. A first month of management with no training in it. Pattern work for months two and three, real streets from month four. The week it goes backwards, and the protocol for it. Eight scripts for the people you meet, including the man whose dog is friendly. Four sheets at the back to copy. One training philosophy, stated on page one and never departed from. Everything here is force-free and reward-based. No tool that works through pain, startle or fear is described anywhere, and that is a decision rather than an oversight. For the owner who leaves the house at six in the morning and tells people she prefers the light. No veterinary content and no cure promised. A sudden change in your dog is a vet appointment first.
