In the heart of Monti, Rome, Marta Lattanzi runs the charming Caffè delle Ortensie, inherited from her Aunt Amelia along with a few debts, a courtyard full of little shops, and a decidedly colorful clientele. When Arturo Bellini, the building's arrogant property manager, is found dead in the café courtyard, a cup, a few cinnamon cookies, and far too many clues seem to point to all the wrong people.Marta has no intention of playing detective. At least, not at first. But with the help of young Camilla, the irresistible Armida, and Biscotto-a ginger cat convinced he is the true owner of the café-she soon starts asking questions.Because everyone in the alley had a reason to hate Bellini. And that night, someone decided to turn that hatred into the perfect motive for murder.Cecilia VelvetCecilia Velvet is an Italian-American author with a passion for cozy mysteries, quirky characters, and stories set in places where everyone knows everyone else's business. She loves small cafés, old neighborhoods, books, cats, and the little secrets hidden behind everyday life.Murder with a Hint of Cinnamon is the first mystery set around the Caffè delle Ortensie, in the heart of Rome, where a cup of coffee can easily lead to gossip-and sometimes to murder.Cecilia Velvet lives surrounded by books, stories, and at least one cat who believes he is in charge.
