What God Kept, A Gospel Novel

Margaret grew up in a small Southern town rooted in faith, family, and the unconditional love of her grandmother Rose - a woman who fed the whole neighborhood, answered the phone on the second ring, and spoke destiny over everyone she loved. Church was Margaret's home. The band was her belonging. And Rose was her anchor. When Rose passes away just weeks after Margaret leaves for college, everything shifts. Without her anchor Margaret begins to drift - away from church, away from herself, away from the girl she was raised to be. It takes hitting bottom, and a quiet moment of coming back to God, for her to find her way again. She rebuilds. She discovers a gift for business, builds a career, and reconstructs a life she is proud of. By her thirties Margaret is whole - established, faithful, and finally at peace. Then she meets David, and gives him everything she has. But the marriage that felt like answered prayer slowly becomes something she doesn't recognize. When it ends, Margaret finds herself divorced, raising two daughters, and standing in the ruins of the life she thought God had given her. What God Kept is the story of what happens when a woman who has loved faithfully, lost deeply, and held on by faith alone finally discovers that God never let go of her - and that what He kept was more than she ever thought to ask for.
