Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Saving a soul is priceless. Saving a buck might just cost Rabbi Harvey his life.Rabbi Harvey Rosenthal has dedicated his life to Brightwater Heights' chronically leaking synagogue-and to the sacred art of cheapness. Shaped by childhood poverty and armed with clipped coupons, stolen pens, and a profound refusal to pay retail, Harvey sees every transaction as a battle for survival. When a midnight dumpster duel over a velvet matzo box behind the local deli ends with a vicious bite from a legendary, hat-stealing raccoon named "The Duke," Harvey faces the ultimate suburban nightmare: a staggering $3,200 emergency room copay for rabies shots.Determined to beat the system, Harvey chooses DIY medical care-Dunkin' Donuts napkins, packing tape, and raw garlic packed into the wound. But as fever, hallucinations, and irrational hydrophobia set in, Harvey must navigate dying congregants, board meetings, and escalating bodily chaos while desperately hiding the fact that his mind is unravelling.Equal parts Curb Your Enthusiasm and pitch-black body horror farce, Rabbi Rabies is a wild, manic exploration of grief, neurosis, and the exorbitant cost of refusing to let go.
