Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Little Thornton Sinfonia takes on Korea... and a decade-old murder.

Angela Moon has a secret agenda for the Little Thornton Sinfonia's tour of her native Korea. While the climactic concert promises Mozart's "Sinfonia Concertante" featuring Aaron Quest on viola and child prodigy Min-seo Moon on violin, Angela's true motive runs far deeper. She knows that Darius McGuire, though a second-rate violist, is a first-class sleuth. And she desperately needs his help.

Ten years ago, Angela's father was mysteriously murdered, a crime hushed up by the Korean authorities, leaving him erased from official records. Now, Angela wants Darius to unearth the truth.

As rehearsals progress, Darius delves into Angela's past, interviewing friends and relatives. The Korean police are unhelpful, but whispers suggest Angela's father, Ji-Ho, may have been a defector from North Korea, perhaps even a spy aiding the West with nuclear secrets. Relatives offer contradictory stories, and a shadowy figure, possibly a North Korean agent, seems to be tracking their every move.

Darius investigates an old house, a place where Ji-Ho might have died, finding evidence of interrogations. But who was interrogated? Was Ji-Ho silenced by the CIA, MI5, or North Korea? The tension mounts, leading to a dramatic crescendo on the night of the concert.

Attended by Angela's loved ones and the mysterious shadow man, the performance of Mozart's great concerto is about to begin when Darius, rising from the viola section, makes a shocking announcement: the killer is in the audience!

From the author of "My Bloody Viola," "Violas Are No Joke," and "Viola on the Rocks," comes a thrilling new mystery where classical music meets international intrigue.
